Roadmap

Ministrium’s public roadmap organizes what’s coming in three horizons: Now, Next, and Later. We don’t promise exact dates — we do promise to be clear about priorities.

Available at docs.ministrium.com/roadmap with open voting.

Now (active development, next 60 days)

  • Native iOS/Android mobile app — v2.0 with QR check-in, give, events, push.
  • Report: advanced cohort analysis — segment splits.
  • WhatsApp 1:1 unified inbox — inbox with assignment and notes.
  • Visual segment builder v2 — extra operators (relation with group, event).
  • SOC 2 Type II — finalize audit and publish report.

Next (3-6 months)

  • Mobile white-label — your own app with your branding (Business+).
  • Service planning v2 — templates, script library, plan distributed to team.
  • Crypto donations — BTC, ETH via Stripe Crypto.
  • Slack integration — native alerts and reports.
  • Workflow automation — “when X, do Y” no-code (mini-Zapier internal).
  • GraphQL API — alternative to REST for complex frontends.
  • EU region availableeu-west-1 with all data in EU.
  • Discipleship / baptism track — new module.

Later (6-12 months)

  • AI assistant — suggest members for follow-up, pastoral churn prediction.
  • Extended multi-language — Portuguese (BR), French.
  • TV app (Apple TV, Roku) — to display donation/attendance QR on the service screen.
  • Template marketplace — buy/sell email/event templates between churches.
  • Open-source SDK — official libraries in JS, Python, Ruby.
  • Compliance: ISO 27001 — full audit.

Under consideration (no commitment yet)

Ideas we’re evaluating — community voting matters:

  • Sermon notes (live notes during service, synced with members).
  • Worship planning (set lists, musician assignment).
  • Volunteer team scheduling (calendar).
  • Bi-directional Mailchimp connection.
  • Unlimited custom fields on members.
  • AI reports (“make me a report on X”).
  • One-click auto-migrator from Planning Center.

How to vote

community.ministrium.com/roadmap has each item with:

  • Description
  • Who originally requested
  • Comments
  • Vote button (1 vote per person; unlimited, don’t cancel each other).

When an item reaches 50 votes, we review it to move into “Next”. At 100, it usually enters “Now” if viable.

What’s NOT on the roadmap

To not create false expectations, explicitly we won’t:

  • Be a direct payment provider (always via Stripe / regulated provider).
  • Be a website builder (we don’t compete with Wix).
  • Native gaming app / livestream (we integrate with YouTube Live, Vimeo).
  • Replace QuickBooks (we integrate, we don’t account).
  • Sell aggregate congregation data (never).

How prioritization works

We weight each item by:

  1. Explicit demand (community votes + tickets).
  2. Implicit demand (usage signals, detected churn).
  3. Strategic (aligns with vision).
  4. Technical effort (development weeks).
  5. Security / regulatory risk (accelerates or brakes).

Not pure democracy: sometimes a low-vote, high-impact item rises. When it does, we explain why.

Stop doing

Sometimes we decide to remove functionality. We announce 90 days ahead, offer an alternative.

Past examples:

  • v2025.07: removed the “WYSIWYG legacy” email editor replaced by the block editor.
  • v2025.11: removed Constant Contact integration (usage < 0.5%, high maintenance). Suggested Mailchimp.

Open a post at community.ministrium.com/feature-requests . If there’s traction, we evaluate for the roadmap.

Update frequency

The roadmap is updated every 4 weeks. When an item moves between horizons, there’s an announcement in the community and in the changelog.
