Check in a minor
For: Any userStaff
Last reviewed:
Child check-in registers a child’s entry into the right room and prints two labels: one for the child and one for the authorized pickup person. The security code is what closes the loop.
TL;DR
At the kids kiosk, search the family, select the child, confirm the authorized pickup person, print both labels.
Steps
- At the kids kiosk, search by name, phone or family code.
- Select the family. Associated minors appear.
- Mark the child(ren) attending today. The kiosk suggests the age room automatically.
- Confirm the authorized pickup person (usually one of the parents). If it is someone else, they must be pre-registered in the child’s record.
- Press Print labels.
- Hand one label to the adult and the other (the child’s) to the room volunteer.
Security code
Each pair of labels shares a short, random security code (e.g. GZ7K). At pickup, the volunteer verifies that the code on the adult’s label matches the child’s. No match, no handover.
Visible medical info
If the child has registered allergies or medical notes, the room volunteer sees them when scanning the label at the room reader. Keep this information up to date in the family record.
