Change plan

You can switch plans anytime from Settings → Plan. No long contracts, no penalties.

Upgrade

Moving up is immediate:

Settings → Plan → Change plan.
Select the higher plan.
Confirm.
We charge prorated for remaining days of the current cycle.

Example: you’re on Growth ($49/mo), 10 days into the cycle, switch to Business ($149/mo):


Remaining days in cycle: 20
Business prorated:  \$149 × (20/30) = \$99.33
Growth credit:      \$49 × (20/30)  = \$32.67
Immediate charge:   \$99.33 - \$32.67 = \$66.66

From next cycle on, you pay the new plan’s full price.

Downgrade

Moving down applies on the next cycle (not immediate):

Settings → Plan → Change plan.
Select the lower plan.
See the summary: “Your plan will downgrade to Starter on 2026-05-26”.
Confirm.

Until that date you keep the current plan with no extra charge.

Limit validation on downgrade

Before applying the downgrade, we validate your current usage fits the destination plan:

Validation	If you exceed the destination’s limit
Active members	We ask you to archive members or stay on the current plan
Campuses	You must consolidate or cancel campuses
Staff users	You must revoke users
Webhooks	You must disable excess webhooks

If you don’t want to adjust, we offer staying on current plan or going to Starter (dropping features that don’t fit).

Switch annual ↔ monthly

Switch	Effect
Monthly → Annual	Immediate. We charge the prorated difference and apply 16% discount.
Annual → Monthly	Applies on annual contract expiry. No refund for paid months.

Switching add-ons

Add-ons (HIPAA, white-label, extra backup) can be added or removed anytime with prorated billing.

Business → Enterprise migration

Going Enterprise is not self-service: requires custom contract and assisted onboarding. Request at sales@ministrium.com. Typical timeline: 5-15 business days from first contact to go-live.

Try a higher plan

If you’re on Growth and want to try Business features without commitment:

Settings → Plan → Try Business free for 14 days. Activates Business with no charge. Confirm to upgrade; otherwise auto-revert to Growth at the end.

Frequent changes

More than 3 plan changes in a month may flag abuse. No automatic restrictions, but the success team may reach out to better understand.

FAQ

Do I lose data when downgrading? No. You only lose features the lower plan doesn’t have (some add-ons, integrations). Data remains.

What if I want to keep a specific add-on on downgrade? Some add-ons are only available on Business+. In that case you can’t downgrade to Growth while keeping the add-on; remove the add-on first.

Is there an annual cancellation penalty? No. But we don’t refund unused months (except for SLA compliance or extreme cases).
